Workers and members of the Opposition party “Cambio Democrático” (CD), went to the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday morning, in order to be notified of the complaint filed by about 37 members of CD against the newspaper “La Prensa” last September 6.
Carmen Boyd, leader of the CD party, said that the editorial of that media labeled all party members as “criminals.” “No one here is going to offend us because we are 342 thousand members, most of us good, honest and hardworking people. There are no tax evaders, but people who provide for their families in a decent way.”
Former Governor Mayín Correa, highlighted the lack of objectivity of “La Prensa” for what she said, she hopes that justice will act impartially, although she let her doubts be known about it. “We see a Judicial Branch subject to other interests and not to the application of the Law in correct fashion,” she emphasised
