The Credentials Committee of the National Assembly has begun the period of citizen consultations for the ratification of the judges appointed by the executive to the Supreme Court of Justice, Zuleyka Moore and Ana Lucrecia Tovar de Zarak.

Deputy Luis Eduardo Quirós, the president of the committee, explained that after the calling, a two-day period will be offered so that at least 45 civil society organizations can submit their comments to the General Secretariat.

According to Quirós, any citizen who wants to expose their comments personally may do so. The day of the interventions will be assigned by the Credentials Committee and participations will last 10 minutes. Quirós added that if more time is needed, the day will be extended.

In the consultation method, it was also approved that there will not be periods of questions and answers, since it will only be to explain considerations, and expose the reasons why the appointment of the judges is favorable or not.
