Colombian navy seizes 51 kilograms of cocaine bound for Panama

The National Navy of Colombia seized 51 kilograms of cocaine that were transported in a motor-ship in the Caribbean sea that was going to Panama, informed the institution.

The cocaine was found in the structure of the boat named "Rosario II", driven by a 79-year-old man.

According to the authorities, during the record of the crafts that set sail from Sapzurro, in the department of Chocó, Coveñas coastguard Units helped by the  ship ARC "Victory" detected abnormalities in the structure of the boat.

At once specialized officials made tests in the helmet of the motor-ship finding a false compartment in which 51 rectangular pressed packages were hidden.

The man detained and the seized material are at the disposal of the authorities for its judicialization.
