Panama qualifies its first FIFA World Cup

The Panamanian team qualified for the first time for the World Cup when beating Costa Rica 2-1 on Thursday in the tenth and last day of the hexagonal end of the Concacaf.

A goal scored by Román Torres, in the 88th minute, made explode the Rommel Fernández stadium and the streets of the Panamanian city with joy.

The team led by Colombian Hernán Darío Gómez started losing the scoring in the 33rd minute with a goal from Johan Venegas, but Gabriel Torres tied the game up at the 56th minute and then Román Torres scored and sentenced their pass to Russia 2018.
