At 100 days before the beginning of the football festival and the debut of the Panamanian team in the 2018 World Cup Russia, FIFA released on Twitter a curious video in which renowned footballers and former football players head the ball, making 100 kicks to symbolize the count until the kick-off whistle.
The video begins with the phrase "some people simply cannot wait for the biggest show on Earth", and opens the way for the protagonists of it.
The video features figures such as Frenchman David Trezeguet, Argentine Diego Maradona, Swede Tomas Brolin, Colombian Carlos Valderrama and Panamanian football legend Julio Dely Valdez, showing their talent with a ball on their feet.
The video lists each of the kicks in different scenarios, such as a park, a street full of snow, the home of the players, and even the Kremlin, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and FIFA President Gianni Infantino make their own kicks to complete one hundred kicks.
The 2018 World Cup Russia has raised a lot of expectation for a good number of reasons: first, it is the first World Cup organized by a country in Eastern Europe, thanks to the policy implemented by FIFA to host venues on a rotating basis, so that all continents have the opportunity to host the World Cup; second, because of the large number of stars that will seek to win as champions and even because it represents the debut of teams like Iceland and Panama, who fairly won their tickets to the World Cup.
There are 100 days left until the kick-off whistle is blown in the tournament, which, as the FIFA video says, is the biggest show on Earth.
