In the provinces of Panama and Colón, 95 and 91 octane gasoline will have a price increase of two cents while diesel will increase one cent. Prices will remain from Friday, February 2 until February 6. “The significant reduction in inventories or supply control in addition to the high demand have been the causes of another increase in fuel,” said the director of Hydrocarbons of the National Secretariat of Energy, David Muñoz.
“Panama is an importing country and despite the increases in petroleum derivatives, it is the country that has the best user price in all of Central America,” Muñoz said in a press release issued by the National Energy Secretariat.
The 95 octane gasoline will cost $ 0.84 per liter, the 91 octane $ 0.81 per liter while the diesel $ 0.75.
