PANAMA CITY.- Panama's Deputy Minister of Security, Jonathan Del Rosario, traveled to Ottawa (Canada) to sign a "cooperation instrument" with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), a state-owned company that will help Panama's portfolio to strengthen its institutional capabilities.
The agreement will focus especially on strengthening the Ministry's capacity to purchase security goods and services "with the highest standards of quality and transparency," an official statement said.
Del Rosario will meet with senior officials from different institutions of the Canadian Government, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the CCC to address issues of cooperation, security and migration. The vice minister is expected to return to Panama next Saturday. EFE
