"Bohemian Rhapsody" dominates the Oscars with "Green Book" as best picture

"Bohemian Rhapsody" dominated today with four Oscars in which "Green Book" won the award in the best film category.

Peter Farrelly, the director of "Green Book", ensured on stage when he collected the grand prize of the night that this film is about loving the other "despite the differences."

"Green Book" also won the awards for best original screenplay and best supporting actor (Mahershala Ali).

"Bohemian Rhapsody", the feature film about the life of Freddie Mercury, was the film that won the most awards during the ceremony, when adding the best actor statuettes (Rami Malek), best editing, best sound editing and best sound mix.

For its part, "Roma", the first film in Spanish to be nominated for best film, won three awards: best feature film in foreign language (the first time it’s for Mexico), best direction and best cinematography (both statuettes for Alfonso Cuaron).

Also, "Black Panther" won three awards: best costume, best production design and best original score.

Olivia Colman got the best actress statuette for "The Favorite" and Regina King won the award for best supporting female performer for "If Beale Street Could Talk".

In addition, Spike Lee got the first statuette of his career for the adapted screenplay of "BlacKkKlansman".

The 91st edition of the Oscars was the first gala of these awards in thirty years that had no presenter.
