Fans of customes, anime, fantasies, mangas, videogames and technology will meet at the “1st Massive Festival” on April 20 and 22 in the Panamanian capital, the Municipality of Panama announced today.
The epicenter of the celebration of the popular culture spread among youths and adults will be the Gladys Vidal Municipal Theater, in the facilities of the Panamanian Municipality.
The event is designed especially for fans of fantasy, videogames, Korean music, cosplayers (people dressing up as a character from a comic book) that could be called freakies, but that in the fair will feel understood by people like them.
According to the organization, the event will be free of cost and will include a series of conferences, talks, workshops, proyections, exhibitions, a ‘geek’ market and a cosplay contest.
The 1st Massive Festival aims at offering a critical eye on these contens in an attractive way for the audience in general to encourage research on pop culture in Panama, a genre that has been barely explored in our country.
The workshops goal is to strengthen the creative sector and offer an introduction training for youths and adults in areas such as robotics, comics for audiovisual projects, special fx makeup, etc. ACAN-EFE
