In Panama the month of the Black Ethnicity is celebrated in May and for that reason some of the main cultural and social activities are destined to promote the impact of the African-Americans in the Isthmus. On Friday, May 18, the National Institute of Culture will present the symposium “Contribution of the Black Ethnicity to the Panamanian nation”. A day later on May 19 in Figali the great concert and gastronomic corridor “Africa in America” will take place. Also, May is the month of International Mothers’ Day, so the presentation of the Panamanian National Ballet will be held at Multi-plaza Mall on Sunday the 13th.
Music will also be part of this week when the City of Knowledge hosts one of the most important events in the industry “Trama”. It will be a four day event, from May 15 to 18, where there will not only be musical presentations but talks will be given to those interested in knowing everything that the music industry offers.
