Universal Children's Day is celebrated on November 20th each year. It is the anniversary date when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. The day represents a moment to bring awareness on what children with fewer resources and fewer opportunities experience and also to evaluate progress in the efforts made for their well-being.
During this November 20 the UN Children's Fund implemented an initiative around the world to take into account children’s views. The children took over political, business, communication, sports and entertainment sectors to convey a message to adults about what should be done.
