Panama will host the first animation festival in Central America and the Caribbean, which seeks "a hotbed of talent," reported the cultural foundation that organizes it.
It is about the Cultural Platform Initial Point Foundation (FPIPC), which highlighted in a statement that the Panamanian International Festival of Animated Film (PAANI) "seeks to consolidate in its first edition as a hotbed of talent, developer of new film projects and formative reference in the area of animation".
Films, animations and shorts from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, South Korea, Costa Rica, Croatia, Chile, China, United States, Estonia, Spain, France, Guatemala, Iran, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, The United Kingdom, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Switzerland and Uruguay will be shown during the event.
In addition, keynote lectures and classes will be given to the participants, such as creation of characters in third dimension, the secrets of GIF, digital design, among others.
It added that this is the first event of its kind in Central America and the Caribbean, which will be held from November 14 to 18 in different venues in the capital such as The French Alliance of Panama, City of Knowledge, Microcinema, Cinemark Multicenter and the Panamanian Museum of Contemporary Art.
The foundation has the support of the City of Knowledge Foundation, the Mayor's Office of Panama, the French Alliance, the Panamanian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Bohemian Cultural Agency.
