The deputy of Cambio Democrático (CD), Sergio "Chello" Gálvez, admitted that this period has not been easy in the National Assembly and much less for the Commission of Credentials, which he chairs.
For Gálvez, that is the reason why there have been so many issues "in the pipeline" and some will even be "the next government's power". Among these issues are the appointment of a Supreme Court magistrate, the electoral prosecutor and even the directors of the Panama Canal (ACP), Isabel de Saint Malo and Emanuel González Revilla.
Similarly, he stressed that in the Commission of Credentials "there is resistance for some issues, the electoral prosecutor, I believe that even if they put a cannon in the brain to the deputies, this period does not pass". In spite of the problems, for the deputy, the Assembly is a "political organ where conversations can be achieved".
