PANAMA CITY.- The precautionary measure of detention ordered by the Panamanian district attorney's office against the chairwoman in charge of Cambio Democrático (CD, in spanish), Alma Cortés, is part of President Varela's plan of political persecution, denounced leaders and relatives of the former Secretary of Work
Cortés, assisted yesterday to an inquest before the District attorney's office for the investigation that follows the organism for the alleged crime of unlawfull enrichment.
The leader presented affections of health, as reported the attorney Carlos Carrillo.
Both Luis Eduardo Camacho, spokesman of CD, and Alma Cortés´sister, Lourdes Cortés, clarified that this process affects the political pursuit to former Secretary of Work, for being in opposition to the government.
"The people is hungry due to the high cost of life, is being murdered product of the insecurity, the Panamanian people has bad quality in services of health and transportion", added Camacho.
The inquest of Cortés, who is part of the attorneys team that defends expresident Martinelli, continues today.
