One injured after Venezuelan-registered plane went off the track in Panama

A Venezuelan-registered plane went off the track of the airport runway on a paradise Panamanian island when it was landing and one person was injured, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Central American country reported this sunday.

The event was recorded at 10.15 local time (15.15 GMT) this Sunday at the regional airfield "Raul Arias Espinosa", on the island of Contadora, the Aeronautical Authority said in a public statement.

5 people and the captain were on board of the aircraft branded Piper, model Seneca with Venezuelan license plate YV1863 and one of them was injured and was transferred to Panama City for a secondary evaluation, according to official information.

Panamanian relief sources noted that the person, whose identity was not revealed, had minor injuries, without further details.

The Civil Aviation Authority posted on Twitter a photo featuring the aircraft off the track and crashing into a car parked on the side of a road.

The institution reported that both Civil Aviation personnel and Civil Protection firefighters attended the emergency immediately.
