Panama and China strengthen ties in the last quarter of 2018

Tapiero is part of the negotiating team of the Free Trade Agreement between Panama and China, as well as a trajectory of more than 20 years in the Panama Canal Authority, proposes, among other things, to release the Darien Gap, so that there is the possibility of Communicate effectively by land.

The agreement signed at the recent International Import Fair of China 2018 (CIIE), expands the scope of the company that was already in charge of the exchange of bananas, mango, lemon and avocado to countries such as Germany, France, Holland and Norway, through of the Panama Exporta program.

China, which has become the second largest commercial ally of Panama and also the second most important user of the Panama Canal, continues as the first supplier of the Colon Free Zone.

But the alliances with China not only remain in the economic sector, since the cultural events also are part of the exchange thanks to the visit of the Theater of Dance and Opera of Hangzhou the next 18 of November with its work "To Know the Great Channel" , which will be presented at the Amador Convention Center and will be totally free.

Roberto Huang, president of the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Panama, is in charge of carrying out this activity that allows direct interaction between China and Panama, as well as the total union between both countries in different areas.
