The Minister of Labor, Luis Ernesto Carles, said that Panama has significant economic growth, but not every sector grows in the same way. According to Carles there are some areas that have regressed, others have remained and the growth has materialized in commerce, logistics, transport, agroindustry, health services and tourism.
In an interview conducted on the Telemetro channel, the Labor Minister stated the growth of the tourism sector, “it is located as the third employment generator, not only formally but independently too. Only in March two weekly flights from China will begin to come, with ample purchasing power.”
Carles stressed that the economic sectors will require technical human capital in the coming years. According to him, they are working in coordination with the Ministry of Education to contribute with this type of training.
