Panamanian universities will address scientific research

Six universities will debate for two days in the Congress of Scientific Research topics such as the Optimization of the Aerial Ecosystem, Risk and Disaster Management, Risk due to natural disasters in the coastal marine watersheds in the Gulf of Panama, as well as the Accommodation of the crew on the Atlas III Vessel, the Evaluation of the potential Risk of introduction of invasive species through the ballast water of international traffic vessels.

This meeting will be held in the UMIP auditorium, which will be attended by experts in scientific research from the University of Panama (UP), the Specialized University of the Americas (UDELAS), the Technological University of Panama (UTP), the Autonomous University of Chiquirí (UNACHI), the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP) and the University of San Marcos (Guatemala).

For his part, the rector of the UMIP, Aládar Rodríguez Díaz, said that "thanks to the tenacity and effort of many human beings, the population has received, for centuries, the benefits of medicine and other advances."

He also stressed that "our country is once again the center of scientific research for the benefit of those who inhabit this nation and the entire world."
