The members of the USAR-Panama rescuers team were received at the Tocumen Airport by the General Director of Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry, Selina Baños on their return from Mexico where they carried out rescue work in the Aztec country after the earthquake of magnitude 7.1 which affected the center of the country.

USAR (Urban Search and Rescue Team) -Panama the first team of foreign rescuers to arrive on Mexican soil, consisted of 32 people and two canine units that performed an arduous and selfless work in the area of Linda Vista where they were assigned.

The members of USAR were entertained by the efforts and will that they showed during the rescue activities.

The Mexican government also expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the USAR - PANAMÁ team, for its willingness to assist in the rescue efforts, even putting their own lives at risk.
