The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a warning to prevent the increasing rainfall for the next 24 hours.
The notice extends to most of the country, and details the intense rains in the high parts of the Central Mountain Range between Chiriquí, Veraguas and Coclé, accumulating 60 mm in six hours.
It is expected that in the hours of Monday morning the rains will continue in East Panama and Darién, as well as in Chiriquí, Veraguas, Los Santos, Herrera and Coclé. They estimate that the rains will be strong for the south of the province of Veraguas, in communities like Corotú, El Común, Río Grande, Río de Jesús and Puerto Mutis.
While in the afternoon it is estimated that the downpours intensify in Coclé, Central Panama and East Panama.
