This Monday, the Colón families will be delivered the first 1,020 apartments of the Alto de Los Lagos residential project. The residential area is part of the Renovación Colón project. The neighbors of the old town of the city of Colón are the beneficiaries of this project.
Renovación Colón consists of a complex of 167 buildings, with 3,000 apartments. Additionally, it will have sports courts, playgrounds, shopping areas, and police and fire stations. Likewise, the soil removal for the construction of an educational center has already begun.
After the first key handover ceremony, carried out by Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela, and Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning Mario Etchelecu, the rest of the move ins will be conducted every 15 days until completing the transfer of the 5,000 families that will occupy the housing project.
The Secretariat of Communication informed that residents will have a special transport route, which will have a schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and a cost of 35 cents.
