WYD will have the support of the country's influential sectors

Faced of the arrival of the World Youth Day (WYD) to be held in Panama, different sectors of the economy and trade of the country have expressed interest in joining the activity and one of them is the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), that through its treasurer, José Ramón Icaza, indicated that they are looking for alternatives to integrate the different national companies to give a good image to the tourist and, at the same time, take advantage of the event that Pope Francis will attend.

Calling not to stop its activities, Icaza cited the event as a good opportunity, as well as extending the invitation to all "members and entrepreneurs in general to look for creative and flexible ways for collaborators can participate in WYD"

According to EFE, this measure responds to an alternative on the part of the economic sector in search of obtaining bilateral profits during the period between January 22 and 27 of next 2019, the date of the event.

Part of these activities in search of achieve a good image, took it literally the brand New Balance, textile sponsor of the “canalera” selection of football and will be making a shirt with the logo of the event that also can retain the pilgrims that will concentrate on that activity.

With a price that has not been revealed at the moment, is expected to be more symbolic than really considerable since the funds raised by the sale of this garment will be destined to the event itself and its realization.

For its part, the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) announced that the courts and other judicial units of the district of Panama and San Miguelito (north) will close their attention to the public from January 23 to 25 for the celebration of World Day of Youth (WYD).

The Accusatory Penal System and Public Defender's Office are left out of the decision, since they must take corrective measures for the corresponding shifts, explained in a communication the Supreme Court of Justice through its Twitter account.

This measure was taken this Thursday and published in the Agreement number 806 of December 27, as part of the vehicular collaboration during the event, to avoid congesting the streets and maintaining good traffic for visitors.
