PANAMA CITY .- A group of former deputy’s and former Panamanian ambassadors urged the Venezuelan institutions to make a strong statement against the actions on Nicolas Maduro government in Venezuela.The former officials, along with Venezuelan citizens living in Panama, placed a wreath at the statue of Simón Bolívar, located in the Old Quarter of the capital.
“We feel that at the government level and the National Assembly we have not shown solidarity with the Venezuelans, therefore, a group of Panamanians started this initiative to visit the bust of Simón Bolívar, dressed as a civilian, please pay attention to this carefully, we are talking about the peace, freedom and democracy that Venezuela needs desperately at the moment”, said the former ambassador of Panama in the OAS, Guillermo Cochez.
In the place were honored all the people that had fallen during the protested in Venezuela. Also, they called for the cessation of repression.
