The international soccer team Barcelona surprised with the borrowed signing of the Ghanaian Kevin-Prince Boateng from the Italian Sassuolo until the end of the season.

Boateng, 31 years old, is a versatile player who can play as a midfielder and forward,  it is the coach Ernesto Valverde's option to give occasional rest to the Uruguayan Luis Suarez without generating an additional burden of work on Lionel Messi.

What surprised many was the clear interest of getting the services of the Mexican Carlos Vela, although the fact of playing in Major League Soccer and the ambitions of LosAngeles team to let him go, would have played against him.

Barcelona gets an experienced player, with participation in important teams, such as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04, or Tottenham; with great mobility in the area and with the ability to define with both legs and head, which offers several alternatives in the attack.

If something could attempt the Ghanaian born in Germany, it would be precisely his age; although he has always flaunted a physical power above average.

For all these reasons, Barcelona has left aside the rest of the folders of Munir possible substitutes and bets on Boateng. And in case the experiment turns out badly, at the end of the season he returns it to Sassuolo and nothing has happened.

But in case they decide to stay with him, the club has informed that the purchase option would be nearly eight million euros.
