Costa del Este is the leader of Panamanian soccer after a day of draws

The newly promoted Costa del Este F.C. is the leader of the 2018 Apertura tournament of the Panamanian Soccer League (LPF), after finishing date twelve, where ties were the trend.

Santa Gema, second in the standings with 20 points, tied today 1-1 with Sporting de San Miguelito, last with 9 points.

Kevin Galván scored the goal of the Santa Gema tie; the goal of Sporting was an own goal from Davinson Atehortua.

Costa del Este, leader of the tournament with 21 points, tied one with the Tauro F.C., which remains in the fifth place, with 15 points.

Rigoberto Niño was the one who opened the score for the Tauro, Óscar Linton, from the coast, tied the game.

Plaza Amador, the other close pursuer of the leader with 20 points, tied one against Alianza, who is eighth with 14 points.

Jorge Salas opened the scoring and Ricauter Barsallo tied the action.

Club Atlético Independiente (CAI) and San Francisco also tied one goal each.

Michael Casazola, as an own goal, and Omar Browne, for the CAI, scored
the goals.

With this result, CAI reaches 17 points and is fourth in the table, while the Franciscans, with 14 points, are seventh in the standings.

Árabe Unido de Colón was the only club to add three points on date 12, defeating Deportivo Universitario 1-0.

Edward Benitez, who converted an own goal, gave the victory to the colonists.

The 2018 Apertura Tournament covers 18 days that will run until next November to make way for the finals of this soccer tournament.
