This Monday Cristiano Ronaldo took for the second consecutive year the prize 'The Best' of FIFA that is awarded to the best player during the last season.
The Portuguese crowned himself as the king of world football after winning the Champions League, the Spanish league, the Super Cup of Europe and the Spanish Supercup.
Cristiano, 32, was awarded the prize for 'El Mejor' by ex-footballers like Diego Armando Maradona and Ronaldo Nazario, who joked before the game, at a gala at the emblematic London Palladium in London.
The Real Madrid soccer player won the ballot for Argentina's Lionel Messi, former Barcelona star Neymar, who was transferred to Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
"I want to thank my teammates, both in Real Madrid and in the national team, it was an extraordinary year and I've been here for 11 years: dedication, hard work, hard work, that's the key. What I wanted when I started was to win trophies collective and individual, and I have achieved it, "said Cristiano in Portuguese after receiving the award.
"This prize is for my family, the one who is here with me and the one who does not, also for my two children at home, I have just become a father and I will be again in a month, I am very happy," he continued.
Ronaldo adds one more trophy to his bulging palmares, in which he has, as individual prizes, four Golden Balls, two awards for 'The Best', three UEFA awards for best footballer in Europe and four Gold Boots, among others.
"I do not forget to mention Leo (Messi) and Neymar, who are here today. Also to the fans of Real Madrid, my president (Florentino Pérez), they all supported me throughout the year," said CR7 in English.
"We are in England for the first time and I won the second consecutive year award, I am very happy. It is a great moment for me. I know I have followers all over the world and I have to thank them for their support. It is great to be here with so many players of such quality and I am very happy, "finished the Portuguese.
