Angeles Lakers surprised both locals and strangers on Christmas night in the NBA, by beating the Golden State Warriors 127-101 on its visit to the Oracle Arena, after overcoming the departure of its great figure, LeBron James, in the third period, after suffering a groin injury.

The visiting team began to mark distance early, with a great performance of LeBron, who knew how to be everywhere to score, take rebounds and assist his teammates, so the game seemed to take a single course after victories in the initial quarters of 32-25 and 33-25.

However, James had to leave shortly after the start of the second half, when he reached for a ball and complained of a sore groin, so he was taken out of the court while visibly limping.

From there, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant seemed to turn on, as they had the first half of game more than discreet, and the advantage, which came to be 19 points, was only two units.

It was the moment when Los Angeles reacted as a team, and Rajon Rondo, Lonzo Ball, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Josh HartKyle Kuzma and Ivica Zubac, who bombed from the middle and long distance to the defense of the current NBA champions, which began to fill with fouls.

That sent Draymond Green to the dressing rooms, who reached the maximum of six personal fouls, while Stephen Curry was in the limit of five.

The fourth period was in one way for the Lakers, who came to have an advantage of 31 points, which made coach Steve Kerr seat his starting lineup and close the meeting with the bench.

LeBron James finished the game with 21 minutes played, 17 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists; but his absence in the field was supplied by Rondo with 15 points and 10 assists; Kuzma with 19 units; Zubac with 18 points and 11 sacks; Hart with 12 points; and Stephenson with 11 units.

The best players for Golden State were Andre Iguodala with 23 points coming from the bench; Kevin Durant with 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists; and Stephen Curry with 15 points, most of them in the third quarter.

With the victory, the Lakers cut to two and a half games the difference that the Warriors take to the front of the Pacific Division and stop in two the winning streak of the Oakland team.
