The Selection Committee and the three representatives of the clubs of the Panamanian Football League (LPF) made the decision to leave it to the next board of the Panamanian Soccer Federation ( Fepafut) the election of the new coach of the Panamanian national team, informed Fepafut on Tuesday.
"After interviewing four potential candidates and analyzing each one of the resumes, as well as their work plans, the commission came to the conclusion that the new authorities to be elected, must designate whoever will be in charge of directing the national team at the beginning of the road to the World Cup of Qatar 2022", says the federated entity's statement.
The new board of directors that will manage the routes of Panamanian soccer will be chosen at the end of next March, ads the statement.
Said commission of selections and the three clubs that they have already talked with the Colombian trainers Eduardo Lara, Carlos "Piscis" Restrepo and the Panamanians Julio César Dely Valdés and Gary Stempel, although it is expected that they will converse, until March, with other candidates for the position.
The Panamanian team, for the moment, keeps training under the orders of Gary Stempel, for its first friendly match of 2019, which will be against United States on January 27 in Arizona.
