New recognition to the National Team

The Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Football (CONCACAF) announced the prizes for the best of 2017. The Panamanian team in charge of the Colombian Hernán Dario Gómez obtained the distinction as “Best Performance” when qualifying for its first World Cup. Panama accumulated a record of three wins, four draws and three defeats, in the final round of the playoffs. The crucial match took place during the last day with a 2-1 victory against Costa Rica.

Meanwhile, the Panamanian Román Torres figured in the ideal team of CONCACAF as a defense. This is how the best team of the region was formed:
