The Panamanian basketball team will travel to the United States today to face the final window of the Fiba qualifier of the 2019 World Cup against the Americans and Mexicans, respectively.
"The delegation of Panama will travel this Wednesday, February 20 at 09:45 local time (14:45 GMT), and will train together as they arrive at the home of Greensboro Swarm, of the NBA G League", said on Tuesday the Panamanian Basketball Federation (Fepaba) on a statement.
The match between Americans, qualified for the World Cup two windows back, and Panamanians, practically out of the race to the World Cup, will take place on Friday 22, at the Greensboro Complex in North Carolina.
In the list of Panamanians stand out the pivot Javier Carter, who plays in the Maccabi Kiryat Motzkin of Israel, and the forward of San Martín de Corrientes of the National Basketball League of Argentina, Michael Hicks.
The cast led by Panamanian coach José Gómez, who replaced Spaniard Manuel Hussein, after facing the Americans, will travel to Mexico, where they will play their last qualifying match on February 25.
