The Panamanian national team manages a $9.08 million budget to face the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, announced the Panamanian Football Federation (Fepafut) in a conversation with the local press.
Most of the budget of the entity that manages Panamanian football is in the line of awards for players and coaching staff, amounting to $4.1 million.
"We have the resources to cover all this logistics," said the president of Fepafut, Pedro Chaluja.
For the World Cup in Russia, the 23 selected players from Panama will receive a per diem of approximately $35,000, out of which $10,000 will be used for the players’ relatives, who will also receive two tickets for each match of the national team.
The plans of the Panamanian federated include bringing a total of 54 guests to the World Cup, which will mean an expense of over $259,000.
Four emblematic figures of Panamanian football are highlighted among the guests: Julio and Jorge Dely Valdés, Luis Ernesto "Cascarita" Tapia and Gary Stempel.
In terms of food, Fepafut directors announced that a container of 3,765 kilograms will be sent on May 18 with medical supplies, sports products, among other items, for the Panamanian team.
The Panamanian package will be in Saransk, place of concentration of the Panamanian team on May 28 and is within the budget of merchandise, sports equipment and container shipping, amounting to more than $296.
The Panamanian diet amounts to a little more than $393,000, and for accommodation, $950,440.69 have been budgeted.
The other part of Fepafut’s global budget will be allocated for preparatory games ($409,976.24), missing items and unexpected events ($432,566.22), and air tickets ($695,297.26), among others, according to official information. ACAN-EFE
