The Isthmian nation will host the III International Figure Skating Open in 2018 in recognition of the extraordinary work shown by the 25 athletes who recently participated in Cuenca, Ecuador

The Isthmian nation will host the III International Figure Skating Open in 2018 in recognition of the extraordinary work shown by the 25 athletes who recently participated in Cuenca, Ecuador.

It is expected that for this new appointment more than 500 athletes from countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, among others, will participate.


On the other hand, Panamanian skaters, whose ages range from 4 on, are training hard to qualify for this event.

Additionally, this classification allows them to participate in other national and international tournaments, such as the Pan American, South American, the Central American and Caribbean Games, Copa América and World Cups.

It should be noted that the Panamanian athletes returned from Cuenca with 68 gold, silver and bronze medals obtained in the disciplines of free dance, free and compulsory figures.
