Panamanian soccer team will alternate fields for training

The poor state of the Rommel Fernandez stadium grass forced the national team to complete its preparation in two other facilities that are up to the requirements.

Those led by Gary Stempel moved to the Maracana stadium in El Chorrillo, and it is expected that they will continue training at the Costa del Este Sports Center.

The preparation of the combined of the Canal is for the friendly match on January 27 against its similar from United States in Arizona.

That match, as it will not be held on FIFA date, will not include Panamanian players who play abroad, which will become an excellent opportunity for local players to win a place in the national team.

In addition, this clash is important for two other reasons: it will represent the last game directed by Gary Stempel before the appointment of the definitive technical director for the Panamanian team; and it will be the first game of Gregg Berhalter as US national coach.
