Sharapova was operated and will not play the Miami Open

The Russian tennis player, Maria Sharapova, had to go this week for the operating room to practice a small intervention in her right shoulder, that shall remove her from the courts for a longer time. The Siberian player must take a week of rest, therefore, the next master of Miami will be lost, which will be played between 18 and 31 of March.

Sharapova, expressed that she has been feeling in pain since a few months ago, by a discomfort in the tendon and a small tear in the cartilage, which led her to make the decision to operate to eliminate the injury.

The 5 times champion of grand slam, has not been able to play since she was removed from the tournament of Saint Petersburg in her Russian bird, at the end of January. The local won comfortably her first match against the Australian Daria Gavrilova with 6-0 6-4, but because of discomfort in her shoulder could not confront Daria Kasátkina, who was her next rival.
