  • España termina primera del Grupo B al empatar con Marruecos- EFE

The Spanish national football team did not have enough ideas to corner Morocco and failed the great majority of the situations of danger in which it placed its rival and ended up paying with a 2-2 tie thanks to that they classified to quarter finals.

"La Roja" team had, on paper, an easy match against Morocco, a team eliminated after losing its first two games. But, apparently, nobody said that to the Moroccans, who played with the intention of winning.

They were ordered in their different lines, with front incisors that did not miss the opportunities that were presented to David De Gea, although they left Spain to make their game of touch and control of the ball.

The score was opened by Khalib Boutaib in the 14th minute, after receiving a ball in the center of the area and pushing it to the back of the net.

The joy lasted five minutes, because Isco Alarcón managed to strain in the squad a pass he received from Andres Iniesta.

Spain played in Kaliningrad with an eye on Mordovia, where Portugal and Iran played the other party of the group.

The second half continued with the same trend: a lot of Spanish control, but few ideas on the court to be able to overcome a defense that despite the minutes passed, remained granitic.

When Spain looked for it, Morocco's second goal came, with Youssef En-Nesyri connecting with a header to leave De Gea without options.

In the midst of despair, and with the inclusion of Iago Aspas, finally came the Spanish goal of the draw. It was scored by Aspas de Taco himself on a corner kick taken by Dani Carvajal in the 91st minute.

The tie, plus the equalizer of Portugal in Mordovia, gave the Spaniards the expected first place in the Group, with which they will face Russia in the round of 16.
