The three-times Professional Basketball League champion, Correcaminos de Colón, traveled to Brazil to debut in the 2018 edition of the FIBA America’s League, where it will face a tough team.

Correcaminos are in Group D, along with the current champion, the Venezuelan Guaros de Lara; the Brazil’s host Baurú and El Salvador’s San Salvador BC.

In this sense, the owner, Carlos García, told EFE that they have built a good team to come out swinging. "The tournament will be tough, I admit it; there are no freebies. I think we can beat Guaros de Lara and compete against Brazil’s Bauru team, to measure ourselves against San Salvador BC on the last date," he said.

The Panamanian champions were reinforced for the FIBA America’s League with Scott Rodgers, Alejandro Grant, C.J. Rodriguez, Lester Prosper, Adalberto Rojas, Lucas Tischer, Shannon Terrence and Darren Phillips, best record players, and who will be led by the Spaniard Manuel Hussein, who is also the national coach.

The debut of Correcaminos is scheduled for February 9 against Guaros de Lara. The next day the team will face Baurú and close its participation in this first stage on February 11 against San Salvador BC.
