    El día que asesinaron a monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero, Santos Delmi Campos sintió terror y escondió el archivo fotográfico que el obispo le entregó meses antes y que revela que acompañó a los pobres desde joven, y no solo cuando ocupó el principal puesto de la Iglesia salvadoreña.

    El Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen (MUPI), fundado tras el final de la guerra civil (1980-1992), recibió en 2010 de manos de Campos el "archivo personal" de Romero con 400 diapositivas que muestran a "la voz de los sin voz" entre los suyos, entre sus preferidos.
